Server Lockdown is a specialist service provided by Altaire's securities team.
Any company who has managed servers will be aware of the constant threat posed by the myriad of modern worms and viruses, not to mention individuals who thrive on attempting to crack your existing security systems and gain access to your resources.
The Server Lockdown service is aimed at companies with servers connected to the Internet but is just as applicable to servers only connected to an internal office network.
A specialist Altaire securities team member will analyse your server and provide an initial analysis of the current configuration. They will then proceed to lock down the entire operating system (often referred to as 'hardening'). The Lockdown service does not end there. Your servers will also be provided with security policies, restricted access control and anti-cracking tools.
We are unable to disclose the exact operations completed under the Server Lockdown program for obvious reasons - but Lockdown clients will receive a fully comprehensive securities report detailing the actions taken, which can then be passed to your IT department and stored for future reference.
A once only service is available or for the more security conscious an ongoing securities maintenance plan can be developed specific to your requirements.
The Server Lockdown service is ideal for small web hosts who share datacentre space, all dedicated server clients and anyone who has full administration rights to a server and considers their data to be critical.
Security hardening may be performed remotely however depending on requirements a site visit may be necessary
Prices start from £590 per server and the service is currently available for Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems. Discounts are available for multiple servers and dedicated servers leased from Altaire.
